YouTube Auto Subtitle Translator PRO ("the Extension") has a single purpose: automatically enabling and translating closed captions on YouTube videos into the user's selected language using YouTube's built-in caption player.

1. Information Stored Locally in Your Browser

The Extension uses Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.sync API to remember your preferences across sessions:

• Selected target subtitle language, recent languages, and subtitle style preferences (size, backdrop, vertical position).
• Extension enabled/disabled state and temporary per-video pause video ID.
• Free-trial counter (up to 25 unique YouTube video IDs stored locally in your Chrome profile solely to enforce the free trial).
• If you purchase a PRO subscription: your activated license key, subscription status, billing email display string, and renewal timestamp.

Your YouTube viewing history, video titles, caption text, and browsing activity are never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

2. Information Processed When Purchasing or Verifying PRO

• Payments (Stripe): Checkout and billing management are handled directly by Stripe. We never receive or store credit card numbers or full payment credentials.
• License Management (Cloudflare Workers & KV): When you subscribe or activate a PRO key, our backend stores your generated license key, Stripe customer/subscription IDs, subscription status, and billing email address solely to issue, verify, and recover your PRO license.
• Transactional Email: If configured, your billing email is used exclusively to deliver or recover your PRO license key upon request.

3. Data Sharing & Limited Use Compliance

The use of information received from Google/Chrome APIs adheres strictly to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements:

• We do not sell, rent, or trade user data to any third party.
• We do not use or transfer user data for personalized advertising, analytics profiling, creditworthiness, or any purpose unrelated to the Extension's single subtitle-translation function.
• No remote code, analytics trackers, or third-party ad scripts are included in the Extension.

4. Your Choices & Data Deletion

You can clear all locally stored extension data at any time by deactivating your license inside the Extension popup or uninstalling the Extension from Chrome. To cancel a PRO subscription or manage billing records, open Manage Subscription & Billing inside the Extension popup.
